On April 20, the Tomorrow River Lioness Club held their annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Lettie Jensen Community Center in Amherst. The families that participated enjoyed a beautiful morning and had the opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny! This year the Lioness organized a bike giveaway, and one bike was given away for each of four age groups. Bike prizes were sponsored by Amherst Family Foods, International Bank of Amherst, Keely Sullivan & Carlee Jakubek of Nexthome Priority, and Okray Insurance Agency. The four helmets were donated by Community Insurance.
The Lioness would like to also thank the following businesses and volunteers for helping make this a fun and successful community event: Belts’ Soft Serve, Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum, Culver’s, King Cone, PABS Point Area Bicycle Service, Politos, the Lettie Jensen Community Center, Amherst Girls Soccer Team, Lions/Lioness Club Volunteers, Friends of Lioness Youth Egg Hunt Helpers and, of course, the Easter Bunny! We look forward to seeing all of you egg hunters next year.
Congratulations to our bike and helmet winners: Miranda Pingel, Sailor Helminiak, Radyn Ahrens and Knox Ligman.
The Tomorrow River Lioness have been serving the Amherst community for over 35 years. The local chapter of Lioness was organized in 1983 to provide an opportunity for women in the community to become actively involved in humanitarian service through Lionism. The Lioness goal is to assist groups and organizations in the Tomorrow River area to foster projects and programs which benefit education for families and children. The club meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Rivers Bar and Supper Club, and new members are welcome! en
