Residents of Amherst are in for a treat, as a unique, new business is now open on Main Street. Local business owners Amy Powers and Eleonore Hebal have joined forces to create the Swarm, a versatile community space that merges food with art, health with nuitrition. Located at 137 North Main Street, The Swarm is an expansion of the Village Hive Bakery, as well as a small cafe that offers espresso drinks and an eclectic menu of vegetarian and vegan cuisine throughout the week. The Swarm will also host a variety of culinary classes, pop-up dinners, private parties and community gatherings organized by members of the Village Hive. Breakfast and lunch will be served every Wednesday - Friday from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Dinner is available Wednesday - Thursday from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday night dinner is by reservation only, due to limited seating. To make a reservation, call 715-498-6818 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, please visit the Swarm’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/amherstonmainst/ or call 715-498-6818. Menus and a schedule of events will be posted online weekly. Stop by and check out this beautifully renovated space and perhaps even treat yourself to a beautiful plate of nourishing food.
