Many Thanks From the Jensen Community Center

The local component of Cycling Without Age Portage County moved forward in early July with the arrival of “Lettie,” a new trishaw purchased through a grant given to the program and housed at the Jensen Community Center.
Here, local coordinator Jake Barnes takes two young ladies for a ride around town. Several area residents have been trained as pilots of the rig and are anxious to take people of any age for a relaxing ride around the area. To learn more about the program or to schedule a ride, contact Jake at 715-498-2582 or email trim@ wi-net.com.

Welcome to the month of August and a summer that has been unlike any we have seen in our lifetimes. As we all know, time still marches on whether we are comfortable with how things are or not!

Thank you to Verna Toftum, who keeps an eye on the Center and helps keep our outside greenery thriving.

Thank you, also, to Jake Barnes who has been active in acquiring the Cycling Without Age trishaw named “Lettie” for use from the Jensen Community Center. In the coming months, please contact Jake at 715-498-2582 or email trim@wi-net.com if you are interested in scheduling a ride.

Thank you to our community members who have rented the Jensen Community Center in the month of August knowing that there are some limitations to the number of attendees and a few changes in cleaning protocol. Thank you also to our community members who continue to be patient with us as we determine the best course of re-opening.

Please enjoy the month of August with those you love in ways that will help you to make lasting summertime memories.
