The Amherst High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter is hosting a fundraiser in conjunction with Scaffidi Motors called, “Drive 4 UR School.”
Scaffidi Motors will bring several brand new Ford cars and trucks to the Amherst High School main parking lot. Anybody age 18 and over with a valid driver’s license can take one of these new vehicles for a no obligation test drive. For every person that test-drives a vehicle, Ford will donate $20 to our high school FBLA chapter.
“There are no sales pitches made, just come and take a test drive! This event has been held for several years in the past, and I can tell you that Scaffidi and Ford do not bother event participants later. I usually get either one email or one advertisement in the mail afterwards, that’s it!” said FBLA advisor and Business teacher, Travis Zellmer.
He continued, “This is a fantastic program that benefits everybody involved. Scaffidi gets free advertising; Ford gets to donate to charity and looks great to the local community; the FBLA gets much needed funding to support their business programming for high school students; the community gets to support a fundraiser without having to spend any money! Win, Win, Win, Win!”
New this year, participants are encouraged to pre-register ahead of the event, saving time on the day of the drive, at https://d4ur.com/#/pa9r.
The event takes place at the Amherst High School parking lot on May 14 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., rain or shine. “Please mark your calendars and come participate in a fun event while helping out the youth in your community,” said Zellmer. Any questions can be directed to Zellmer at 715-423-6063. io
