Ford Drive 4 UR School Event

The Amherst High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter is hosting a fundraiser in conjunction with Scaffidi Motors called, “Drive 4 UR School.”

Scaffidi Motors will bring several brand new Ford cars and trucks to the Amherst High School main parking lot. Anybody age 18 and over with a valid driver’s license can take one of these new vehicles for a no obligation test drive. For every person that test-drives a vehicle, Ford will donate $20 to our high school FBLA chapter.

“There are no sales pitches made, just come and take a test drive! This event has been held for several years in the past, and I can tell you that Scaffidi and Ford do not bother event participants later. I usually get either one email or one advertisement in the mail afterwards, that’s it!” said FBLA advisor and Business teacher, Travis Zellmer.

He continued, “This is a fantastic program that benefits everybody involved. Scaffidi gets free advertising; Ford gets to donate to charity and looks great to the local community; the FBLA gets much needed funding to support their business programming for high school students; the community gets to support a fundraiser without having to spend any money! Win, Win, Win, Win!”

New this year, participants are encouraged to pre-register ahead of the event, saving time on the day of the drive, at

The event takes place at the Amherst High School parking lot on May 14 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., rain or shine. “Please mark your calendars and come participate in a fun event while helping out the youth in your community,” said Zellmer.
